# Eric Weaver

> Technologist, keynote speaker, and advisor with nearly fifty years at the frontier of computing — from connecting to remote systems in 1977 and CDC PLATO / the ARPANET, to building some of the first commercial websites, to hands-on work with applied AI and IoT. Co-founder and board member of Transparent Path. Based in Greece.

Eric Weaver has spent his career at the beginning of technologies that later became ordinary — the early internet, the first commercial corporate websites, and AI both the first time around and now. His through-line is simple: get curious about a new technology, learn how it actually works, build something real with it, and then teach and share what he learned. Today he focuses on helping people separate a genuine technology shift from a sales pitch, and on building systems that serve people and the planet rather than just profit.

Weaver is also an award-winning composer and musician who has competed internationally as a classical pianist.
