Post-Conference Update

BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON – September 25, 2009 – I was honored to speak at the Microsoft Social Media 101 Conference at the Microsoft Executive Briefing Center. My talk was called “Talent is Social” and it was focused on using social media from a corporate HR and recruiting perspective. The crew from Eastside Entrepreneurs and Social Media Club Seattle did it again: a really interesting Social Media 101 Conference at the swanky Microsoft Executive Briefing Center in Bellevue, WA.

Joe Kennedy, editor of the Bellevue Business Journal and the conference organizer, brought together a number of Northwest social media proponents that gave the audience a lot to think about. Tech conference organizers Chris Pirillo and Andru Edwards, Comcast’s Shauna Causey, Lift9’s Warren Sukernek, Parnassus’ Jason Preston, Social Media Club’s Kevin Urie and many others shared their experience with a large crowd of folks getting started in the social media space.

My talk was about social media and talent acquisition for corporate HR. Many thanks to Joe Kennedy for having me.
