VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA – November 29, 2009 – Jena came up for a long Thanksgiving weekend with me, her first since I started working here. I booked a surprise romantic dinner at the Observatory Restaurant atop Grouse Mountain.

It was rainy that day, and foggy in North Van as we boarded the gondola to the top. We got seated in the best seat in the house, and then suddenly, magically, the fog parted and we were treated to a great view of Vancouver. Took this photo from our table (BlackBerry so it’s a bit grainy).

We finished a fantastic dinner and then just as miraculously, the minute we got our check, the fog returned.

It was a good weekend.
